MAC would like to introduce our newest physician anesthesiologist: Dr. Benjamin Leist. Dr. Leist comes to MAC after several years of practice in the Milwaukee area. Dr. Leist completed his anesthesiology training at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where he worked with current MAC physicians Dr. Rock and Dr. Aranda. After residency, he completed a fellowship in critical care medicine, also at MCW. While in the ICU, Dr. Leist was on the front lines at the start of the COVID pandemic. We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Leist to the group as an attending, where his specialized knowledge will be invaluable for caring for our most complex patients. With MAC, Dr. Leist will be working in both the operating rooms and on the labor and delivery floor at UnityPoint Health – Meriter Hospital.
From Dr. Leist: “I moved with my family to the Madison area in the summer of 2023. We immediately fell in love with the vibrant community and landscapes. In my time outside the hospital, I enjoy craftsmanship with my kids, comedy improv & celebrating life my wife and children.”
