MAC is thrilled to welcome our newest physician anesthesiologist: Dr. Lauren Keeney. Dr. Keeney comes to us after several years practicing in the Philadelphia area. Dr. Keeney did her anesthesiology residency at the University of Pennsylvania, after which she pursued subspecialty training in regional anesthesiology and acute pain medicine at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan.
Dr. Keeney brings a wealth of knowledge of complex regional anesthesia techniques and acute pain management strategies. Her advanced skills will be highly valuable for our patients at Unity Point Health – Meriter Hospital. With MAC, Dr. Keeney will be working in both the operating rooms and on the labor and delivery floor.
From Dr. Keeney: “I recently relocated my family of 5 from the Philadelphia suburbs! My husband and I met at Penn State as undergrads and have lived (and trained) on the east coast our entire lives. We are extremely excited to start raising our family in Madison and also to explore the surrounding beauty in the state of Wisconsin. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my three children, fitness, cooking and baking, traveling, and being outdoors.”
